GETTING TO ORCAS ISLAND

ARRIVING BY CAR AND FERRY
Your vacation begins the moment you board the Washington State Ferry. Sit back, relax and adjust to “island time” as you enjoy your cruise through emerald isles on blue seas. The San Juan Islands ferries depart several times each day from Anacortes, Washington, and serve the following four islands: Lopez, Orcas, Shaw and San Juan.  Fares to the San Juan Islands include a round trip. To get to Anacortes from Seattle drive approximately one hour north on Interstate 5 to Exit 230, follow Highway 20 west to Anacortes (for an additional thirty minutes), follow Commercial Avenue north, take a left on 12th St., then continue west for approximately two miles to the Anacortes ferry terminal. The Washington State Ferry offers ferry service for cars, bikes, and walk-on passengers from Anacortes. The ferry ride is around one hour from Anacortes to Orcas Island and you should arrive 45-60 minutes in advance.

FERRY RESERVATIONS
Be sure to book round-trip ferry reservations from Anacortes-Orcas-Anacortes.

Don't Stress! If your preferred travel date appears to be fully booked, do not worry.
1/3 of reservations are released 2 months prior to sail date at 7am PST.
1/3 of reservations are released 2 weeks prior to sail date at 7am PST.
1/3 of reservations are released 2 days prior to sailing at 7am PST.
There are also spaces held for am limited stand-by tickets on the day of travel.
If you are having trouble securing a reservation, please give us a call so we can help.
Remember to book ROUND-TRIP reservations!
Be sure to make reservations well in advance and arrive 45-60 minutes early.

ARRIVING BY SEAPLANE
Kenmore Air offers seaplane service between Lake Union in Seattle or Kenmore Air Harbor on Lake Washington to West Sound Marina (5 minutes from Kingfish). 866-435-9524

Kenmore Air offers daily flights between Boeing Field in Seattle and Orcas Island Airport in Eastsound. Kenmore offers a complimentary shuttle between Sea-Tac International Airport and Boeing Field.  866-435-9524

driving DIRECTIONS from the ferry landing

When you arrive in Orcas, exit left from the ferry onto Orcas Road. Drive 2.4 miles and at the first four-way intersection, turn left at Deer Harbor Road. Continue past the West Sound Marina until you reach Crow Valley Road.  We are approximately 7 minutes from the ferry by car.
